I also consult in Audio Engineering Technology , and provide studio support services for the professional audio community. From simply pointing out what's wrong, thru building patchbays and audio wiring harnesses, to full acoustic design and build and install services .
I've also been Mac and PC systems support for audio, and for more mundane activities for over 10 years.
Occasionally I even play a little guitar ..
and formerly, (until 1/1/2012) I used to assist in the management and moderation of the forums at Sound on Sound magazine's website

My Rates.
Day Rate = £350 for any or all of the above activities.
Hourly Rate. Where practical , I will take on smaller jobs, the Hourly rate is £50 per hour.
to make that sensible, these need to be local, I will not drive to Glasgow, do one hours work, and then drive home and only charge £50 , so please exercise common sense when asking me about small jobs.... I have no objection to the job being small, as long as I am not asked to make a loss.
longer jobs are negotiable to some extent.
I'm pretty discrete about my client list, some are covered by NDA contracts, others simply prefer to keep me as a secret weapon...
if you have a specific job in mind, and want some references, by all means ask.
But some may sing my praises on high....
